Dr Antonia Girardi is Senior Lecturer in Management at the Murdoch Business School, where she teaches both undergraduate and postgraduate units in Organisational Development, Human Resource Management, and Remuneration Management. Tonia holds a PhD in Human Resource Management from the University of Western Australia, and has an extensive record of research and publication in national and international journals in the areas of strategic HRM, job design, intellectual capital management, benefits and remuneration management, employer branding, and organisational change. She is an experienced and successful Supervisor of honours, Masters and PhD students in Management at Murdoch Business School.

University and Community Service
Dr. Antonia Girardi has been a Senior Lecturer in Management at Murdoch University since 1999. Tonia has taught a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate units within the Murdoch Business School during her time at the University, in addition to successfully supervising seven PhD and Masters students; she currently supervises an additional four higher-degree students. Tonia was a research associate with the University of Western Australia from 1996-1999, working as a project evaluation analyst in the areas of organisational change, HRM strategy, work design and team work, with compaies in both the private and public sectors. More recently, Tonia has worked with Fremantle Hospital managing workplace absences, and has consulted the Western Australian public sector on the attraction and retention of staff. Her other consultancies and research positions include the management of unplanned absences within the South Metropolitan Health Services Sector (2004-05), the evaluation of customer satisfaction within the Thai banking Sector (2000-04), a work-related issues project for the Meat Processing Industry (1996-99), and the introduction of self-managed Teams at Sydney Water (1996-2000). She has been an Australian Business Week Game Coordinator and Mentor (2000-01), Programme Chair for the Masters of Human Resource Management at Murdoch University (2004), and currently serves on the University’s Professorial Promotions Appeals Committee. Tonia Girardi is a Referee for the journals European Journal of Innovation Management and Research and Practice in Human Resource Management.
