Hospitality and Tourism Management (BCom)Course Code: B1003 This course prepares students for employment in the tourism industry, particularly with front line businesses such as hotels, resorts and transportation companies as well as in the wider context of tourism and hospitality, including non-government organisations (NGOs) and government agencies. It provides a detailed understanding of travel and tourism with special attention to management of tourism-related businesses and the strategic management of destinations. Hospitality and Tourism Management may be taken as a Bachelor of Commerce or as a Bachelor of Tourism (see separate entry for Hospitality and Tourism Management (BTour)), enabling students to prepare more specifically for their chosen occupations within hospitality and tourism.
