This major emphasises the applications of economic analysis to real world situations. Students are given a grounding in fundamental economic analysis and are then able to choose from a wide range of economics elective units to suit their interests and their career intentions. A fourth year of study is available in the form of an honours year.

Employment Prospects:The financial sector, Federal and State Public Service, major resource-based corporations, education and the health system.
