Economics

Economics is a relevant Degree that opens up many varied, exciting and richly rewarding career paths. Economics can help you to make sense of what is going on and help you make a difference. At Murdoch the undergraduate degree in economics not only gives students the theory and policy content taught in most other Australian universities, but it also offers the opportunity to combine economics with studies in a wide range of other units.

This is achieved through the double major option, which allows you to complete the requirements of two undergraduate degree courses in three years, with a normal workload. Common double majors include Economics and Finance, Economics and Politics and International Studies, and Economics and Business Information Systems. Major Areas of Study: All students take three units in Economic Analysis and a range of electives.

Specialist electives include international money markets and trade, managerial economics, human resource economics, economics of resource management, economic history, economic development, econometrics and money markets.
